A catch-all email mailbox is one that gathers all the messages sent to invalid addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one single mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and in this way you will never miss messages because the other party has an outdated email address or has made a spelling mistake. The downside of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of unsolicited emails, but this problem can be rectified using anti-spam protection software. It is also important to remember that a mailbox with an active catch-all functionality cannot forward inbound email messages to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you have a cloud hosting with our company and you wish to enable the catch-all option for a specific e-mailbox that you have in your account, it will take literally just one single mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to achieve this. A catch-all button is available on the right side of each and every email address that you have set up under any domain name registered in the account. You can choose one address per domain by clicking on the corresponding button. This will enable the feature momentarily, so all messages sent to miswritten email addresses will be delivered there. Clicking the button once more will turn off the catch-all feature. In case you have activated email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary note and you won’t be able to activate the catch-all feature till you delete the forwarding or you can simply select another mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel that comes with every semi-dedicated server plan that we offer will permit you to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without any effort even in case you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox that you’ve created using your domain names in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have only one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will let you know if you’ve already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding activated. In case you decide that you don’t want the feature any longer, you can deactivate it by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
