.NET Domain Names
When the Dot NET generic top-level extension was first introduced in 1985, together with the first domain extensions on the Internet, it was intended to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure entities. As there were no special conditions about the usage of the top-level domain extension, though, dot NET domains were obtained and used for diverse purposes and by lots of people. This TLD represents a good substitute of .COM, particularly if the necessary domain with the latter domain extension is not available for registration.
Booking a .NET domain name with our firm is as easy as pie and takes just a couple of minutes, since we work with an ICANN-accredited registrar firm. You can get such a domain for a period between one and ten years, or, if you already have a domain, you can move it over to our firm and we will renew it once the transfer process is done. Transfers are possible for all domain names, which are at least 60 days old, provided that they are not locked and that you have obtained an EPP transfer code – security measures introduced by the Registry organization to prevent unauthorized transfers. You can easily change the WHOIS info of the domain through your Control Panel tool, or, if you wouldn't like this information to be visible at all, you can get a Whois Privacy Protection service, so no one will be able to check your real contact information.
The dot NET top-level domain extension supports internationalized names, so you can take a decision if you want to target a particular country or region using a domain name in the native language, or the global Internet community – using a generic English name.
